This one day introductory course is designed to get anyone interested in fly fishing familiar with the gear, terms and tactics of the sport. Topics to be covered are: fly fishing equipment and how to set it up, types of flies, basic methods of fishing, a few knots and the mechanics of casting.
The course is offered free to the public, but registration is required. A simple lunch is provided, and weather permitting, we hope to get outside in the afternoon to demonstrate and practice casting, so a hat and sunglasses are suggested.
